Import recipes from TikTok and Instagram into Plenty

Plenty is a shared shopping list with loyalty cards, grocery budgeting and recipe importing. Bring in a recipe, check its ingredients and add the ones you need to the list your household already uses. Keep the recipe on your device for the next time you cook it.

Import recipe ingredients into your shopping list

  1. Import a recipe link, paste the recipe text or choose screenshots in Plenty.
  2. Review the recipe and save its ingredients and cooking instructions in your recipe library.
  3. When you are ready to shop, open the recipe, adjust servings and review the ingredients. Choose your shopping list and add the groceries. Everyone on that shared list can see the additions.

The review stays in your hands: importing a recipe does not automatically fill a shopping list. You choose which ingredients to buy. Continue with your shared list, keep loyalty cards ready and follow your grocery budget.

Recipes from Instagram and TikTok

Plenty attempts to read accessible written recipe details from Instagram and TikTok links, including an explicit link to a recipe website. A post needs readable ingredients; a video alone is not enough.

If a post is private, blocked or missing written ingredients, paste the recipe text or choose screenshots of the ingredients and instructions. Plenty does not transcribe video or audio.

Save recipes for another shopping trip

Save a recipe with its ingredients and cooking instructions, mark favorites and find it again in your recipe library. Next time, choose the ingredients you need and add them to a shopping list.

The recipe library is stored on your device. Recipes themselves are not synchronized with your household; the ingredients you add to a shared shopping list are.

Questions

Can Plenty import every Instagram or TikTok recipe?

No. Plenty needs accessible written ingredients or a readable recipe link. When those are unavailable, use pasted text or screenshots. Video and audio are not transcribed.

Can I add only the ingredients I am missing?

Yes. Review the quantities, deselect ingredients you already have and confirm the selected ingredients for your shopping list.
