Google Keep or Plenty for your shopping list?
Google Keep is a note app whose checklists many households use for groceries, on iPhone, Android and computers. Plenty is built only for grocery shopping on Apple devices, with aisle order, loyalty cards and a monthly budget. We compared both on nine points using Google's own help pages and App Store listing.

Plenty recipe update
Plenty recipe importing was checked against version 1.8.2 on 5 October 2026. The other app sources retain their original review dates. Save a recipe. Shop its ingredients.
How did we compare them?
Keep is a general note app, so we asked of it what a household asks of a grocery list: voice, scanning, sharing, Apple Watch, loyalty cards, budget, aisle order, widgets, and languages and devices.
Keep facts come from Google's Keep Help Center and the Keep App Store listing. A feature that is not mentioned there is marked “not listed on their site”, which does not prove it is missing. Checked on 25 September 2026; we will check again before 25 March 2027, so after that date confirm with the source.

Where is Google Keep better?
- Android and computers. Keep works on phones, tablets and computers2, including Android5, so a household with iPhone and Android can share one list. Plenty is Apple-only.
- Location reminders. Keep can bring up your grocery list when you arrive at the store2.
- More than groceries. Notes can hold text, images, drawings and audio3.
Where is Plenty different?
- Items sort into grocery categories and your aisle order.
- Plenty has an Apple Watch app for ticking items off.
- It keeps loyalty cards and a monthly budget next to the list.
- You can add products by barcode.
Who should choose which?
Choose Google Keep if someone at home uses Android, or you want one app for notes and lists alike.
Choose Plenty if everyone is on iPhone and you want a list that knows the shop: categories in aisle order, the loyalty card at the till and the month's spending.
