Privacy Policy

Dieses Rechtsdokument liegt derzeit nur auf Englisch vor. Maßgeblich ist die englische Fassung unten. Bei Fragen schreib uns — wir antworten auf Deutsch.
This Privacy Policy explains how Plenty (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Plenty mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). We’ve written it to be readable. If anything is unclear, email us at support@theplentylist.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we store your name (or chosen nickname) and the email address associated with your Apple or Google sign-in.
- Your lists and content. Shopping lists, items, notes, budgets, receipts you choose to scan, and similar data you create in the app. This is the content that syncs across your devices and the people you share a list with.
- Sharing data. When you share a list, we store the connection between the participants so the list can stay in sync.
- Notification data. If you turn on notifications, we store a push token for your device (and your app language) so we can tell you when someone updates a shared list. Declining notifications never limits the rest of the app.
- Purchase information. If you buy Plenty Premium, our purchase provider processes the transaction and we receive a record of your subscription status — never your payment details, which stay with Apple.
- Usage and device data. Basic information such as app version and device type, used to keep the app stable.
2. How we use your information
- To provide core features: syncing lists, tracking budgets, and suggesting restocks.
- To enable sharing between members of your household, including notifications about shared-list activity.
- To process and honour your Premium purchase.
- To show advertising to free users (see section 4).
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your lists for advertising.
3. Service providers we rely on
- Google Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd.) — sign-in (Firebase Authentication), database and sync (Cloud Firestore, EU region), server functions, and push-notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- RevenueCat — subscription management for Plenty Premium. RevenueCat receives an anonymised app-user identifier and purchase receipts from Apple; it never sees your payment details.
- Google AdMob — banner advertising shown to free users (see section 4).
- Apple — sign-in with Apple, App Store purchases, and push-notification delivery (APNs).
These providers process data on our behalf, only to the extent needed to run the Service, and are bound by their own data-protection agreements. Your data is stored on cloud infrastructure in the European Union where the provider supports it.
4. Advertising and your consent choices
Free users see a small banner ad, served by Google AdMob. We request only non-personalized ads: ads are selected from contextual information, not from a profile of you, and we do not pass your list contents to advertisers. Where required (including in the EU/EEA and the UK), the app shows a consent message before any ad is loaded, and you can review or change your choice at any time from the app’s settings (“Privacy options”). Plenty Premium removes advertising entirely.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/EEA GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@theplentylist.com. You can also delete your account from within the app (Settings → Account), which permanently removes your account, your lists, your sharing connections, and your notification tokens from our systems, subject to any legal retention requirements.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we’re required to retain it by law.
7. Children
Plenty is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
9. Contact
Plenty is operated by Netkreatives, Belgium. For any privacy question or request, contact support@theplentylist.com.
